Volunteers are getting ready to play their part in making the 2013 Lichfield Festival a success.

The arts event kicks off tomorrow (July 4) and will see a range of performances from across the world of arts and entertainment.

But the Lichfield Festival also relies on a team of around 100 volunteers who assist with things such as stage management, education projects, front of house and general administration.

The Midlands Co-operative sponsors the volunteers who help to ensure the event runs smoothly. The company’s head of corporate affairs, Stephen Beresford, said: “The Lichfield Festival is a fantastic event enjoyed by thousands from the local area and further afield and we hope that our support will help to contribute to its success.

“Watch out for Festival Volunteers in Co-Operative branded t-shirts busy in action around Lichfield this July.”
