TV presenter helps Lichfield students celebrate a year of success

Pupils at a Lichfield school have been celebrating their achievements at an awards day.

TV presenter Llewela Bailey was on hand to dish out the prizes to the the Maple Maple Hayes Dyslexia School students.

Hundreds of proud parents saw children receive more than 45 certificates, cups and trophies for accolades including for academic achievement, sporting success and a positive contribution to school life.

“This school has a really good feel to it,” Llewela explained. “You can see that achievements are being made.

“I was inspired to see so many pupils being rewarded not only for their achievements, but for effort and progress.”

Principal and Founder of Maple Hayes Dyslexia School, Dr Neville Brown, added: “Prize Giving Day is a very proud day to the staff at Maple Hayes Dyslexia School and it is a joy to be able to congratulate our pupils of their achievements in front of their friends and family.

“The school’s success wouldn’t be so profound without hard work and excellent behaviour of our pupils and they deserve a great of recognition for making it a thoroughly place to teach.”
