What’s on at the Lichfield Festival – July 12, 2013

Comedian Chris Addison will be the star attraction as the Lichfield Festival audiences prepare to have their funny bones tickled.

The Mock the Week star will be at the Garrick from 9pm with his stand-up show The Time Is Now.

Lichfield Cathedral will welcome The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britian at 7.30pm, while the Lady Chapel will be home to Daria Bitsiuk at 11am and Zoe Rahman at 10pm.

There’s another chance to catch Intimate Theatre’s production of The Old Country at the George Hotel at 7.45pm, with the same venue welcoming Huw Lewis-Jones at 2pm for a  talk on the 60th anniversary of the first ascent of Everest.

The George Hotel will also play host to Paul Kildea’s talk about his book on Benjamin Britten at 3.45pm, while FellSwoop Theatre Company bring Ablutions to the Garrick Studion at 8pm.

There’s also music on offer when Caliente play a wide programme at St Michael’s Church at 3pm.
