Craig Harris
Craig Harris says he is “pleased” to start the league season with a home fixture. The Scholars will kick-off their league campaign against Brigg Town. But the Chasetown boss admits the fixtures will show his players how big a task they face this season. “It’s always an exciting time when the fixtures come out,” he told the club’s website. “But, when you look at them you realise that every game in the league is tough. “We start at home which we are pleased about, but with that comes the high expectations to make a good start.” Meanwhile, Scholars fans hoping for a sun-soaked day out in Scarborough are likely to be disappointed after their clash by the seaside was scheduled for November 9. They will enjoy a home clash on Boxing Day, however, when Romulus come to The Scholars Ground, while New Year’s Day will feature a short journey to Halesowen Town. Chasetown will close their season with an away tie at Romulus on April 21 and a home clash against Coalville Town on April 26.
