Stallholders set to descend on Lichfield for food festival

Sixty stallholders are set to descend on Lichfield for this year’s farmers market.

On Saturday August 31st until September 1st the city’s streets and Three Spires Shopping Centre will be lined with an abundance of food stalls.

Stallholders will offer festival goers a variety of locally produced food: Including pancakes, cheese, cakes, wine, pickles, paella, fudge and much more.

There will also be activities for children over both days including birds of prey that will be on display and face painting.

Rachel Clive, Lichfield City Council’s officer, said: “This is our most ambitious Farmers’ Market so far, as we’ll be holding it overt the two days of the festival and will have even more stalls than last year.”

The event is organised by the Lichfield Garrick and Lichfield District Council.
