Daniel Worrall’s red card wrapped up what was a miserable afternoon for Lichfield City at Bromsgrove Sporting.
A rampant Bromsgrove side were clear 3-0 winners in a feisty encounter, which saw eight players pick up bookings.
And even a member of Lichfield’s coaching staff was ordered from the technical area.
The home side were ahead after only eight minutes against the run of play. Matt Poyner’s 20 yard drive caught out Lichfield keeper Craig Johnson to give Bromsgrove the lead.
However, Lichfield got stronger as the half wore on as Kyle Minto’s pace and strength caused Bromsgrove plenty of problems.
And Minto had Lichfield’s best chance as he burst into the Bromsgrove box. But his shot was tamely struck.
Bromsgrove doubled their advantage as Jacob Snape released Will Tibbet whose low ball was rammed home by Poyner.
The result was put beyond doubt after half-time as Snape’s drive was palmed out to Tibbet who made no mistake.
Tomorrow night Lichfield entertain Alvis Sporting Club. Kick off 7:45pm.
