Dexter Ravenhill’s superb hat-trick guided Lichfield City to their first home victory of the season. Ravenhill was making his debut for the club, as Paul Holt’s men ran out 4-1 winners against Alvis Sporting. However, former Cameroon international and Barcelona striker Patrick Suffo came close to giving Alvis the lead, before Ravenhill’s intervention. And he made his mark after only 28 minutes to give Lichfield the lead. Ravenhill latched onto a ball from full back Jordan Hunt and he showed his composure to slot the ball past Neil Collett. Lichfield doubled their lead on 53 minutes, as David Leese scored his first goal for the club after some good work from Olly Bud. However, the visitors responded immediately to get a goal back, as Leon Kelly scored from a quickly taken free kick. But Holt’s men regained their two goal cushion moments later as Ravenhill rounded Collett. And Ravenhil saved his best for last as he smashed his 30 yard drive into the top corner to put the result beyond doubt.
