Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash near Lichfield which left a 29-year-old man dead.
His Vauchall Astra had left the road and collided with a tree on Colliery Road, Brereton at 9.30pm on Friday (September 6).
A 26-year-old female passenger was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire where her condition is described as stable.
The road was closed for around five hours while police investigators inspected the scene of the crash.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact investigating officer, PC Dave Burgham, at the force’s Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting incident number 788 of September 6.
