Drivers in Lichfield and Burntwood are being invited to brush up on their skills at a new workshop.

Taking place in Tamworth, the Driving Your Skills session have been introduced by the Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership.

The two-hour workshop is suitable for newly-qualified or experienced drivers and costs £45.

Instructors will guide participants through scenarios in a classroom setting looking at driving theory, hazard awareness, and recognising speed limits, along with hints and tips on staying safe on our roads.

Staffordshire County Councillor Simon Tagg said: “We can all slip into bad habits and forget the basics of safe driving as we go about our daily business, but the course acts as a real reminder to those key safety messages.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to keep our roads safe and the new course will help focus drivers minds on better driving and help keep our roads even safer.”

The course takes place on October 12 from 9.30am to 11.30am at Tamworth Community Fire Station.
