Thousands turned out as the city turned back the clock for Lichfield Heritage Weekend

The event saw venues across the city open their doors to visitors for free.

The 17th century Dr Milley’s Hospital on Beacon Street, Erasmus Darwin House, Lichfield Heritage Centre, and Lichfield Record Office in the Library attracted many visitors, while Lichfield Cathedral, the City Cells in the Guildhall, The Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum and St John’s Hospital also welcomed the guests.

Market Square hosted a range of entertainment and activities, including the young town crier competition – which was won by nine-year-old Charlene Collins – and a performance by Go Ukulele Crazy.
