Women in Lichfield and Burntwood are being urged to put a new slant on the saying ‘charity begins at home’ by joining a new fundraising campaign.
The IN Thing asks people to rally together for a fun night in and donate the money they would have spent on a night out to Cancer Research UK.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “They could spend their night in watching a weepy movie, having a clothes swap, singing outrageous karaoke, dancing the night away in a onesie or just catching up on the girly gossip.”
The IN Thing is launching now to give hosts time to register for their free party packs, invite their friends and get ready to host their gatherings in November.

Or doing a little bit of washing and ironing with a bit of housework thrown in maybe, or is that just out of the question?

I think you ‘cynical’ chaps are missing the point, a girly night in, instead of spending money elsewhere and donating it to this charity.
Surely you can see the the point?
I can see the point, but it seems a bit like promoting a stereotype to me.

It is the little changes which will make the most important changes.
