The Fuse Community Choir are getting ready to hit the high notes as part of Lichfield’s Christmas celebrations.

The Lichfield Arts-backed group made their first performance in July and is now looking for new members to join ahead of a performance at the city’s Christmas lights switch on.

The free rehearsal sessions will begin on Wednesday (October 23) from 7pm to 9pm at Wade Street Church.

Director of Lichfield Arts, Dave Simcox, said “The Community Choir’s first performance at Fuse was truly uplifting and inspiring.

“We do want it to continue as a permanent group and have secured the funding for a facilitator to lead this next series of rehearsals and to pay for the hire of rehearsal space.

“If you want to sing for fun, whatever your age, this is for you. We would love to see more families come along and take part.”

Further rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings at Wade Street Church on:

  • October 30
  • November 6, 13 and 20

The Christmas switch-on performance will take place on November 24.
