New faces are coming in at Lichfield City FC after boss Paul Holt admitted urgent changes were needed.

The Brownsfield Park side slumped to a 4-0 defeat at Nuneaton Griff last time out – a performance branded “dross” by their manager – to leave City 12th in the Midland Combination.

Full-back Danny Rock has joined from Walsall Wood, while forward Samson Adalade has also come in on a month’s loan from the same club.

Both players have also had spells at Chasetown, with Alalade also spending a period on trial with Football League side Peterborough United.

And Holt has warned his misfiring squad that more new faces are on the cards.

“Some of our current players are getting stuck in their comfort zone,” the Lichfield boss said.

“There will be many changes for this week’s games after the shambles against Nuneaton Griff.

“I simply can’t put up with witnessing that sort of dross from my team again.”

Pershore Town will be the visitors tomorrow (October 26) and sit behind City in the table on goal difference.

As well as erasing memories of their loss on Saturday, City will also need to put right their previous encounter with Pershore which saw them beaten 3-0 in the Les James Challenge Cup.

Kick-off at Brownsfield Park is at 3pm.
