Eddie Gough and Sarah Morley with some of their artworks

Two local artists will get the chance to showcase their work in a prominent city centre store.

Eddie Gough and Sarah Morley have been chosen to have a selection of their pieces displayed in the restaurant at the Debenhams shop in the Three Spires Shopping Centre.

Shoppers will be able to view the works and publish them, with both artists naming the price for their works.

Both have full-time jobs, but hope the opportunity will give their art increased exposure.

“I run graphic design business Design For A Day as my day job, but I love painting in my spare time,” Sarah explained. “I usually sell my paintings in a local art boutique which is unfortunately closing this month, so thanks to Debenhams I can keep my artwork on display in the local community.

“I’m really excited to be a part of the exhibition.”

Eddie added: “I’m an equestrian bridle maker by day but I have always enjoyed painting and it’s something I do in my spare time whenever possible.

@I hope customers enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed painting them.”
Each piece of art will be displayed in the café for a three month period or until sold.

Store manager Sam Zeen said: “Eddie’s and Sarah’s paintings look fantastic in our new restaurant and we think they will make a real talking point for our customers.”
