Would-be adventurers are being invited to join a trek to raise money for a Whittington charity.
Three expeditions are being embarked on by fundraisers from St Giles Hospice, including:
Five-day trek to the ‘lost city’ of Petra in Jordan – October 2014
Ten-day Vietnam trek – October 2015
Three Peaks Challenge: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon – May/June 2014
An open day is being held on November 13 at the St Giles Centre on Fisherwick Road for people wanting to find out more.
Helen Relihan, head of fundraising for St Giles Hospice, said: “We have an exciting calendar of treks for people who want a bit of adventure and to support a great cause at the same time.
“Many of those who take part in our treks have never done anything like this before and, with destinations both at home and abroad, there really is something for everyone.
“The St Giles Fundraising Team has been organising bespoke treks since 2008 so we have lots of experience in this area. Being local, we can give plenty of support to our participants, who return home with fabulous memories of an unforgettable experience.”
The open day will feature presentations about the planned treks at 2pm and 7pm.
