Chase Terrace Park will burst into colour next year after work by community volunteers.

Twenty-five people lent a hand to plant around 1,500 spring flower bulbs.

A donation from County Councillor Sue Woodward, through the Staffordshire Local Community Fund, enabled Lichfield District Council’s parks team to pull together the team of volunteers.

“Next spring, park users can look forward to seeing English bluebells, snowdrops and daffodils when they come into bloom,” a spokesperson said.
