Open auditions for performers to join new Lichfield Garrick show

Budding actors, musicians and dancers are being invited to strut their stuff in a production at the Lichfield Garrick Studio.

Open auditions and workshop opportunities are now available for people of all abilities to be part of a unique performance in Lichfield.

At The Crossroads: The Bible, The Blues and Burlesque will be a piece of theatre that uses the arts of storytelling, blues music and dance to deliver a witty but thought-provoking question: What if?

In conjunction with Lichfield Mysteries (2015), Fired Up Theatre Company, the company which produced The Wall, Quadrophenia, 23, The Colin Grazier Enigma and The Fell Walker, will produce Crossroads at the Lichfield Garrick Studio in May next year.

The piece has been devised by last year’s Staffordshire Poet Laureate Mal Dewhirst and Simon Quinn, director of Fired Up Theatre, and participants will be contributing to the development of the piece.

The search is now on for budding actors, dancers and musicians to contribute and take part in the production.

People who are interested in being a part of this exciting community arts project, led by Lichfield Mysteries and Fired Up Theatre Company, are invited to the following workshops at The Lichfield Room, Wade Street Church, Frog Lane, Lichfield:

  • November 19 & 26, 7.30pm to 9.30pm
  • December 11 & 18, 7.30pm to 9.30pm
