The Market Square venue will be holding a late night costumed opening with activities and mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies on offer.

The museum will be open from 3.30pm to 6.30pm on Sunday (November 24).

“Visitors to the event can also take advantage of a special discount for tickets to the Museum’s main Christmas event, A Georgian Family Christmas, on December 7,” a spokesperson said. “This huge Christmas party with carol singers, activities and storytelling for young and old alike is a popular part of Lichfield’s festive calendar.

“Tickets bought on Sunday are just £4 for adults, with free places for kids.”
