Classic comic book art will be on show as a new gallery opens in Lichfield.

The Studio on Bird Street will be officially opened at noon on Sunday (November 24) and will stay open late to take advantage of the crowds visiting for the Christmas lights switch-on.

Marvel comic book covers masterminded by legendary comic artist Stan Lee will be on show, along with work from other sculptors and artists. There will even be efforts by celebrities such as Ronnie Wood and Bob Dylan on display.

Nigel Camacho, The Studio’s gallery owner said: “I’m thrilled to be opening The Studio and being able to bring exciting collections of art work into Lichfield, especially in time for Christmas.

“The artists that will be featured at the gallery are all extremely talent and so different from one another that there will always be something for everyone to enjoy.

“It’s a great feeling to be opening a retail space when we’re seeing so many closures on high streets. I know the people of Lichfield will love the gallery and I hope it’ll be a huge success here.”

For how many days will the exhibition be on for? Will the new gallery be open during the days of the week?
