A black and grey Carerra Vulcan mountain bike was taken from the racks on January 16.

PC Peter Mannington said: “The victim secured his bike at the cycle racks on platform 2 at Lichfield City railway station at around 8am.

“He discovered it missing when he returned to collect it later that day.

“Enquiries have been ongoing since the theft to discover who took the cycle. I am able to release a photograph of a man I would like to speak to about this incident and I would appeal for anyone with information to come forward and contact British Transport Police.”

Anyone with information can call police on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016. Alternatively the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111. People with information are asked to quote incident reference WWA/B8 of 21/02/14.
