Lichfield City FC have Staffordshire Vase final in their sights

Lichfield City FC are just 90 minutes away from a place in the final of the Staffordshire Vase.

Paul Holt’s men will travel to AFC Hanley Town tomorrow (March 8) hoping to secure the victory they need.

City beat Sporting Khalsa in the last round and have enjoyed a haul of four points from their two league games since that encounter.

And Lichfield will be firm favourites to book their spot in the final as they take on their Staffordshire County Senior League opponents.

AFC Hanley Town currently lie ninth in their division, with Lichfield already having seen off the league leaders in that competition – Uttoxeter Town – in the earlier stages of the Vase.

Kick-off in Stoke-on-Trent tomorrow is at 3pm.
