A number of local organisations are involved in the scheme, which aims to promote activites for young people in the town, as well as cut down on anti-social behaviour.

Councillor Andrew Smith said: “Young people are vulnerable and may get involved in illegal activities such as underage drinking. This is why we’re launching a campaign to remind parents that they should ask their children where they are, who they are with and what they are up to.

“A big part of the ‘Where is your child tonight?’ campaign is to promote the many low cost activities that are on offer to young people who live in or go to school in Burntwood. These includes a range of activities, such as football, trampolining, dance and more.”

A full list of the activites being offered is on Lichfield District Council’s website.
