Tennis courts in Lichfield could soon be under cover if plans get the green light.

Virgin Active has applied for permission to install an inflatable polyethylene ‘dome’ over three of its outdoor courts.
The leisure firm says the scheme will provide better facilities for local players.
“Virgin Active have previously inserted tennis domes at other Health Clubs as part of the Lawn Tennis Association’s programme to encourage more high quality tennis facilities that will encourage more members of the general public to play tennis,” a statement supporting the proposal said.
Full details of the proposed scheme can be seen on Lichfield district Council’s planning website.
