Items linked to the First World War are wanted to help create a new display in Lichfield.

Artefacts with a link to the city will be exhibited at Lichfield Museum as part of a summer Local Heroes exhibition.

Volunteer Peter Griffiths said: “We are marking the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War with a display of memorabilia and stories relating to Lichfield and its citizens to honour, not only the memory of those fought, but also those left behind, particularly women who had to replace men in the workplace and often undertake dangerous tasks.”

Anyone with items or stories can go to collection days on June 14, 17, 21 and 24, between 10am and 3pm.
