Organisations aiming to boost Burntwood are being invited to apply for grant aid.
The scheme has been opened by Burntwood Town Council and will see money handed out to groups working to improve the local community.
Applications are accepted until September 15 with a final decision made by November.
A spokesperson said: “The amount requested by applicants usually exceeds the amount available. The scheme provides start-up grants for new organisations as well as grants to organisations already operating.
“Applications will not be considered from individuals.
“The organisation must have clearly stated aims and objectives set out in writing, a written Constitution, be able to provide a copy of its latest annual accounts and most recent bank statement and have a bank account operated by a minimum of at least two joint signatories.
“The organisation must also provide, or propose to provide, an activity or service that will be of benefit to the Burntwood community or to a particular group of residents.”

Are there any subsequent audits as to how and where this money is spent, and who decides what is of benefit to the Burntwood community, whatever that is?
