Drivers using the M6 Toll through Lichfield and Burntwood have bagged more than £1,000 worth of prizes.
A ‘giveaway day’ was launched by operators Midland Expressway Limited to celebrate reaching a landmark 160million vehicles using the road.
A lucky dip saw drivers get the chance to win free passage on the toll road, food, drinks and a tank of fuel.
Tom Fanning, Midland Expressway Limited’s CEO, said: “We were delighted to have seen the 160 millionth driver pass along the M6 Toll during its 10th anniversary year, so were keen to celebrate with our customers.
“The giveaway day was a great success and it was fantastic to see the look of surprise and joy on the lucky customers’ faces when they received their treats.”

Nothing like a bit of PR for a project that has been an abject failure, despite subliminal attempts to coerce traffic into using it.
