City baking academy Cakeydora on Upper St John Street is opening its doors to the bake-off’s 2013 quarter finalist Christine Wallace, who is giving a master class on August 30 at 11am, in return for a donation to one of the company’s nominated charities.

Christine will reveal just how she makes her show-stopping ‘Ninety-niners’ – one of the dishes she was crowned star baker for on last year’s hit TV show.

Julie Crisp, founder of Cakeydora, said: “I’m thrilled that Christine is coming to the baking academy in Lichfield to give those with a passion for cooking a real taste of one of her famed dishes.

“As an added bonus, those who come along on the day will be able to taste them too!

“I’m always looking for new ways to encourage people to try their hand at baking and by inviting Christine to Lichfield, I really hope it gives local people a flavour for baking or cake decorating as well as raising vital funds for needy charities.”
