Emma Bottamley travelled to London to meet the Labour MP for Edgbaston as part of an event organised by networking forum Future Faces.

The 23-year-old was able to explore the House of Commons and House of Lords during the trip.

Emma, who is the marketing officer for Abbey College Birmingham, said: “The trip to Parliament was a really interesting experience and Gisela was an inspirational person to meet.

“It was great to have been given this fantastic opportunity.”

Stephen Robinson, Principal at Abbey College Birmingham, added: “I am delighted that Emma has had such a rare opportunity to visit the Houses of Parliament to develop her understanding of the legislative process and how this in turn affects the business framework within which we operate.”
