Paul O’Brien has been confirmed as new manager Marcus Law’s assistant at Chasetown FC. The pair met with club officials last night at The Scholars Ground, including founder member Brian Baker. The new management duo then met with the playing staff ahead of his first game in charge this evening (January 28) at Leek Town in the Staffordshire Senior Cup. O’Brien has been Law’s assistant for 14 years including spells at Racing Club Warwick, Quorn and Barwell. He started his career in the youth side and reserves at Coventry City before spending a year at Kidderminster Harriers and a long playing career at the likes of Stratford Town, Rugby, Bedworth and Hinckley. Law , who has spent this season working as a scout, revealed that he had already seen Chasetown play on four occasions so far this season.
