Helen Relihan, from St Giles Hospice, said: “We are always incredibly grateful to anyone who signs up to take part in our annual fundraising events and support their local hospice.

“The clocks go forward on March 29 so runners in the Lichfield 5K can celebrate the start of British Summertime with the wind in their hair and the chimes of Lichfield Cathedral in their ears!

“I’d encourage anyone thinking about signing up for the event to go ahead and do it! It’s great fun and the funds raised really do make a big difference to St Giles Hospice.”!

The event starts at 9.30am and anyone aged 14 or over is eligible to take part. Entry is £12. To sign up visit the St Giles Hospice website. Runners can also sign up on the day.
