A partnership between Lichfield Cathedral and a local cutlery firm has been agreed.

The agreement will see Arthur Price products sold in the Cathedral’s shop, with both parties hoping to work on other promotions going forward.

Simon Price, CEO of Arthur Price, said: “I think it’s really important for local people and organisations to work together for mutual benefit.

“We hope that people who visit the wonderful cathedral, not forgetting the magnificent Close, will now have even more reasons to pop into the Cathedral Shop – the proceeds of which go towards the upkeep of the cathedral plus some amazing buildings surrounding it.“

Jason Dyer, Development Director for Lichfield Cathedral, added: “Arthur Price is a well-known and well-loved brand both locally and across the globe. By having their products in our shop and publicising that the brand is from Lichfield just adds to the visitor’s experience.

“Our partnership will be a win-win situation because we want to increase the numbers of visitors and so do they. However, both organisations wish the city and district to benefit and so we will be working on joint promotions which will have a positive effect on the area as a whole.”
