Labour’s unsuccessful parliamentary candidate has praised the work of his campaign team in Lichfield and Burntwood.
Chris Worsey
Chris Worsey managed to secure 10,200 votes in the poll. Although this left him more than 18,000 short of the winner – long-standing Conservative MP Michael Fabricant – he did ensure Labour regained second place after trailing behind the Lib Dems last time out. Mr Worsey also saw off a challenge from UKIP who collected 8,082 votes in Lichfield and Burntwood. And he was quick to pay tribute to the team who had helped him on the campaign trail. “The local activists put their heart and soul into the campaign,” he said. “Special thanks must also go to my brilliant agent, Sue Woodward, for her advice support and unwavering commitment to the people of the area.”
