Colleagues have sent their best wishes to a councillor after he was hospitalised.
Cllr Doug Constable was absent from the annual meeting of Lichfield District Council last night.
The local authority’s leader, Cllr Mike Wilcox, revealed that his colleague had been taken for “emergency hospital treatment” earlier in the day.
Cllr Constable was re-elected for the Highfield ward in Burntwood earlier this month.
