UKIP rosette

UKIP say their first post-election meeting in Lichfield has given them real hope for the future.

ukiprosetteThe party say the meeting at the Kings Head pub – which is run by their election candidate John Rackham – was a “rousing success”.

A spokesperson for UKIP in Lichfield and Burntwood said they were keen to work with neighbouring branches.

“Members from elsewhere advised us about how we can move UKIP forward with the 2019 local and 2020 general election in mind.

“It was decided by members that a stronger link to the UKIP Cannock, Burton and Tamworth branches is needed going forward.”

The party has re-iterated its vow to win over younger voters and says it is confident of building on the third place finish in the general election next time out.

“Fundraising ideas were also proposed by members at the meeting about how we can make the branch self-sufficient for the next election.

“A youth recruitment drive will also begin in earnest, so that we can make our call for change a crescendo in Lichfield and Burntwood.”

But won’t the public have voted to stay in the EU before the next General Election making UKIP redundant?

Hopefully yes, then they can go back to voting Conservative.
