The M6 Toll cheque being handed over to Troop Aid

Local good causes could be in for a boost after the owners of the M6 Toll started the search for three chosen charities.

Midland Expressway Limited will split £30,000 between the successful groups, with a further £20,000 being used to support other community projects.

The past year has seen the company back the Guide Dogs, Troop Aid and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

James Hodson, the company’s social committee chairman, said: “We are extremely proud to have had the opportunity to offer our support to such wonderful charities over the last 12 months.

“We are looking forward to working with our three new charities who in turn assist the local community in different ways.”

Those interested in seeking funding can email the Drive for Charity team for more details. Applications must be received by June 30.
