Fire engine

A fire station near Lichfield is celebrating 50 years of service.

Crews at Abbots Bromley will put on demonstrations tomorrow (July 11) to mark the anniversary.

There will also be fire engines on display from 10am to 3pm at the Goose Lane station, as well as a face painter and live music.

Firefighter James Shaw, who has organised the event, said: “This celebration promises to be a great day for the whole family and I would encourage local residents to come and join us.

“We have a very proud history at Abbots Bromley Fire Station and we are all looking forward to marking this occasion with members of the community that we serve.”
