A local football team have raised more than £1,000 from a sponsorship lottery. Companies bought raffle tickets for £25, with the winning firm getting their logo on the front of Shenstone Pathfinder’s first team kit for the coming season. Walsall-based Pinnacle Recycling were drawn out of the hat and they will also get an advertising board at the ground. On the pitch, Shenstone were beaten 2-0 by AFC Wulfrunians in their latest pre-season encounter. They wrap up their friendly programme with a home game against Parkfield AMS tomorrow (August 4) – kick-off 7.15pm.
