The latest event in the revamped Burntwood Wakes festival will feature high speed thrills as the push kart derby comes to town. The unpowered machines will tackle a 110m long course along Burntwood High Street and Cannock Road from 11am on Saturday (August 8). Kevin Wilson, from organisers KP Events, said: “We are really excited to be involved in the re-launch of the Burntwood Wakes. The push kart derby will be a fantastic opportunity for the businesses, schools and families of Burntwood to get involved in a real fun event.” Karts will be judged on their design and the speed they complete the course in.
