Sponsors of the Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park have been thanked for helping to make sure the event can go ahead.

The annual summer finale takes place on September 5.

A number of sponsors have come forward to help keep the family-friendly event free.

Councillor Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for leisure and parks, said: “Lichfield Proms is a fantastic way to celebrate the end of the summer in style.

“The event is only possible thanks to the generosity of the local businesses and organisations that are backing this ever popular event, and we thank them all for their support.”

This year’s concert is set to feature music from the City of Lichfield Concert Band and The British Police Symphony Orchestra. There will also be solos from Claire Prewer, Jane Stevenson and Richard Coxon.

The night will be brought to an end with a fireworks display.

 

Although the event is free, seating can be booked in the front area for £12.50 in sets of four. To reserve a table call 01543 308775 or email proms@lichfielddc.gov.uk.

Parking will be available in Beacon Park for a donation of £5, which includes a Lichfield Proms programme.
