Record fans in Lichfield and Burntwood are being urged to dig into their back catologue for hidden gems.
Hansons Auctioneers are putting together a specialist music memorabilia auction on October 22 and are on the lookout for vintage vinyl.
The auction house says that the resurgence in traditional records has seen prices pushed up.
Vinyl expert Claire Howell said: “We have seen a number of items sell for record prices, many lots outperforming their original estimates.
“In a recent auction a fantastic collection of Beatles LPs reached double its estimate, selling for an impressive £940 on the day.
“Other successful lots include superb pieces of memorabilia from The Who, Jimmy Hendrix, Rolling Stones and even Black Sabbath.
“The many genres we are looking for are vast.”
