Tour guides have been celebrating 25 years of showcasing the sights of Lichfield to visitors.
Members of the Lichfield District Tourism Association got together at the George Hotel to recognise anniversary.
The Green Badge guides are experts on the history of the city and district, and over the last 25 years have conducted 1,257 tours to 17,598 customers, talking for a mammoth 1,583,820 minutes.
Formed in 1990, there were originally 22 guides in the scheme. There are now six guides in total, with three of the original group still active.
Councillor Helen Fisher, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet member for tourism, said: “Our guides have been leading fascinating tours for 25 years which is a great achievement.
“It was a pleasure to present the guides with their certificates and framed photo, and I’d like to once again congratulate and thank them for their continued contribution to local tourism and the local economy.”
