Employment opportunities on offer at Lichfield Guildhall jobs fair

A jobs fair in Lichfield is aiming to help people back into work.

Held at the Guildhall on September 24, employers, volunteering organisations and training providers will be on offer to give advice and support.

Among the companies represented will be Hermes who are on the lookout for potential parcel couriers.

Alex Marsden, from Hermes, said: “We are looking for people to join our expanding network of self-employed lifestyle couriers all across the United Kingdom, delivering for well-known retail brands in their local area.

“We can offer flexible opportunities to work around peoples’ own schedule and area with rounds available from one to seven days a week.”

Among the other employers looking for new staff are Redwood Telecom, Interserve Learning and Employment, Remploy and DGS Hygiene Services.

Denise Gwilt, of DGS Hygiene Services, added: “We are looking to recruit local people to help us to continue to expand.”

The event will run from 10am to 1pm and jobseekers are encouraged to book a free place by emailing or calling 07841 928238.
