Police have named a man who died after being hit by a lorry on the A38 near Lichfield last week. Antony St Claire Dawe was from the Sheldon area of Birmingham. Despite being given CPR by police officers and passing motorists, the 50-year-old died from injuries sustained in the incident, which happened on the northbound carriageway between Weeford and Swinfen on Thursday (October 8). A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “His family are continuing to receive support from specially trained officers.” Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Regional Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting incident number 211 of October 8.
