The poignant stories of the Bastion and Basra memorial walls will be told later this month.

The National Memorial Arboretum will lift the lid on both memorials on October 29.

A spokesperson said: “Originally assembled in Afghanistan and Iraq respectively by serving members of the British Armed Forces, both memorials are powerful reminders of those lost in recent conflicts.”

The 45 minute talk takes place at 2pm in the Rose Room. Admission costs £3 in advance or £4 on the day. For more details call 01283 245100.
