Civic leaders take a tour of the National Memorial Arboretum

Civic leaders have been given a tour of the National Memorial Arboretum.

They were guests of Lichfield District Council chairman Norma Bacon earlier this week.

The group learned about the plans for future developments at the Alrewas site, including a new Centre of Remembrance.

Cllr Bacon said: “The National Memorial Arboretum never fails to impress visitors and I was very proud to welcome my fellow civic dignitaries to this fascinating destination.

“I would like to thank the team at the Arboretum for taking us on such a special tour.”
