Things had begun brightly for Gary Birch’s men when Martin Crawford opened the scoring after just 15 minutes.

And things got even better when in-form Tony Clarke doubled City’s advantage.

But struggling Heather showed that they still had plenty of fight in them as two goals soon brought them level before the break.

The home side’s comeback was completed in the second half as they went 3-2 in front.

But City soon rallied and found a leveller when Clarke netted his second of the season with 12 minutes left on the clock.

A topsy-turvy encounter swung back in Lichfield’s favour on 83 minutes when Peter Folkes secured all three points to leave his side fourth in the Midland Football League Division One.
