Community groups and charities in Alrewas have been celebrating after receiving donations.
Alrewas United Charities invited Lichfield MP Michael Fabricant to give out the cheques worth almost £2,000.
Alrewas Defibrillator fund was awarded £1,547 while Stepping Stones and Alrewas Tennis Club both collected £200 donations.
Mr Fabricant said: “The charity was founded way back in 1692 by William Turton to help the ‘needy and the sick of Alrewas’, but it has now been relaunched and has widened the help it gives.
“It was great to see so many people at the charity’s relaunch.”
