People in Lichfield and Burntwood are being urged to get a flu jab.
Less than half of all Staffordshire residents who are entitled to a free jab have taken it up so far.
Cllr Alan White, Staffordshire County Council’s Cabinet member for health, has urged people to make sure they’re taking up the opportunity.
“Many people, such as those who care for an older or disabled person, may not know they are eligible for a free vaccination.
“Flu is an unpleasant illness, and for children, the elderly and those with existing health needs, it can be even more severe. This is why we are encouraging all of those eligible for a free flu vaccination to take up the offer and ensure they stay healthy throughout the winter months.”
Full details on who can receive a free flu jab are available on the NHS website.
