A Lichfield leisure centre is hosting a triathlon with a difference.
The event at Friary Grange on February 20 2016 will see participants take on a 200m swim, an 8km static watt bike ride and a 2km run.
Organisers hope beginners will get a taste of a triathlon by taking part.
Councillor Andy Smith, Cabinet member for leisure at Lichfield District Council, said: “Triathlons are hugely popular but many people may find competing in a full one a bit daunting the first time round.
“This is why Friary Grange Leisure Centre’s taster triathlon is a great way to prepare. Our Evolve Fitness team is available to help members to train for the event and we all hope plenty of people will get involved.”
The Friary Tri is free for Evolve Fitness members and costs £10 for everyone else. To find out more and to enter the event call Friary Grange Leisure Centre on 01543 308842.
