Music and real ale fans will be able to brush off the cold weather when Lichfield’s Winter Beer Festival returns to the Guildhall this week.

A range of tipples will be on offer on January 23 and 24.

Last Orders will perform a cocktail of covers on the Friday before Made In Britain bring music from the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks to life on the Saturday.

Lichfield Arts President Brian Pretty said: “The very popular festival will feature no less than 30 real ales, most sourced from local and regional breweries.

“Some of the ales lined up are Cloughie’s Clout, Punch & Judy, Holly Austin, Funny Farm and Golden Newt, plus a range of traditional ciders/perry and specialist bottled beers.

“These festivals are great community events and attract plenty of visitors to the city.”

The festival is open from noon to 11pm on Friday and noon to 10pm on Saturday. Entry is £2 before 6pm and £3 afterwards. Tickets can also be booked or by calling 01543 262223.
